Start with what is said
Listen to the actual request instead of trying to interpret every gesture or expression. A quiet guest may simply prefer less conversation. Ask a simple clarifying question when necessary and avoid assuming you know someone's intentions or personal circumstances.
Respond within your role
If the request concerns a venue service, use the agreed procedure. Conversation does not make you responsible for solving a guest's personal problems. Avoid advice on private matters you are not qualified to address and do not promise ongoing contact after work.
Protect your own limits
You can be courteous while declining offensive topics or unwanted requests. If a situation becomes uncomfortable, ask for support or end the interaction. A professional approach should make both communication and boundaries clearer; it should not be used to pressure guests or to make you tolerate disrespect.
