Reserved tables and private evenings in nightclubs

What a hostess should clarify when bookings change the usual organisation of a nightclub shift.

Reserved tables and private evenings in nightclubs

Ask for the evening's plan

A group booking can affect table assignments but should not leave your duties undefined. Check your area, hours and supervisor before starting. A private evening does not automatically imply different activities from the role you originally agreed to perform.

Keep responsibilities separate

Refer payment, access and additional service requests to the appropriate staff. Do not promise personal availability after the shift. If asked to accompany guests elsewhere, treat that as a separate request and discuss it with your contact rather than assuming it is part of the assignment.

Respect privacy and records

Follow the venue's rules on photographs and do not publish guest conversations or identifying details. After the shift, check attendance and any agreed extension, as well as your return transport. Raise differences promptly so that the next evening does not repeat the same uncertainty.
